High Protein Raw Banana & Paneer Cutlets - Simrun Chopra

This recipe is an entire meal in itself. You have carbs, protein and fat. Make a large batch and enjoy it with a spicy chutney. 

With these ingredients you can make 2 recipes. This one and with a few alterations my Raw Banana and Paneer salad

 

INGREDIENTS
2 large raw bananas
1 tsp whole cumin (jeera)
1 – 2 green chilli, chopped fine ( optional)
Powdered Black Salt to taste
1 tbsp Ginger, grated
2 tbsp Potato Flour
2 tbsp Amaranth Flour
½ cup Coriander leaves, finely chopped
250 gms paneer, grated
1 tbsp oil for pan frying
 
 
METHOD

  • Cut the raw banana in half and cover with water and boil till cooked
  • Remove the bananas and once cooled, remove and discard the skin
  • Grate the bananas with a big grater setting
  • Grate the paneer with the same thickness
  • Add all the ingredients (except the amaranth flour) and mix gently with your hands
  • Ensure you do not mash the paneer or the banana
  • Take golf ball sized amount and flatten to make a cutlet shape
  • Dust with the amaranth flour
  • Brush with oil and pan fry or air fry till crisp
  • Serve hot with a spicy green chutney

This recipe was originally created for Navratri, however you can use it anytime with these simpler replacements.
 
Replacements :
Black salt can be replaced with your salt of choice
Potato flour : useful to thicken curries as well. Replace with corn flour, besan or 1 slice of crushed bread
Amaranth Flour : replace with bread crumbs or rice flour
