NAVRATRI DAHI POTATO (WITH THICK GRAVY) - Simrun Chopra

Ingredients

  • 300 gms boiled potatoes
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 tsp whole cumin
  • ¼ tsp asafoetida
  • few chopped green chillies
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp of ghee

Method

  1. Whip the curd and keep aside.
  2. Peel the potatoes and cut into cubes.
  3. Now mix the cubed potatoes to the curd and mix it gently. Keep aside.
  4. Heat the ghee in a pan.
  5. When the ghee becomes warm.
  6. Add the asafoetida and whole cumin.
  7. When the cumin starts to splutter. Add the chopped green chillies. Stir for few seconds.
  8. Add the curd and potato and ¼ cup water.
  9. And keep stirring or the curd will curdle .
  10. Make the flame low and keep stirring gently.
  11. The gravy will start to thicken .
  12. Add salt to taste. Stir for few seconds.
  13. Remove from flame.
  14. Done.
