RAJGIRA MUTHIA

RAJGIRA MUTHIA - Simrun Chopra

Ingredients

  • 30g rajgira flour
  • 30ml water
  • pinch of turmeric powder
  • pinch of red chilli powder
  • pinch of rock salt
  • ¼ tsp of white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp coriander
  • 1 tbsp roasted peanut

Method 

  1. Take rajgira flour in a bowl, add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and sprinkle some water simultaneously and knead it slowly and make a soft dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 2 halves and roll it into 2 cylindrical portion.
  3. Heat water in a idli steamer, once it's hot apply some ghee and place the muthia on it and steam it for 10 minutes.
  4. Once it's steamed well allow it to cool down and cut into small cubes.
  5. Heat ghee in a kadai add sesame seeds, peanuts, coriander and steamed muthia and saute for 2 minutes.
  6. Transfer cooked muthia to a serving plate and enjoy rajgira muthia.
