Radish & Carrot Sabzi
Ingredients
- 1 bid white radish (cut I the centre ,then cut in semi circles )
- Cut the stems of the radish into thin strips and chop the leaves in to strips also
- 1 big carrot (cut in center then cut in semi circles)
- 2 tbsp of ghee /oil
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 1/4 tsp ajwain
- (Carom/caraway seeds)
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/4 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp cummin powder
- 1/4 tsp dry mango powder
- 1/4 tsp black salt
- Salt to taste
Method
- Take a pan, add the ghee
- Let the ghee warm a little
- Then add the asafoetida and the ajwain seed
- Stir fry for few seconds
- Then add to the pan turmeric powder and red chilli flakes
- Stir the masala for few seconds
- To the masala add the cut vegetables and stir fry for few minutes
- Then add the black salt and mix it in
- Cover and cook on low flame till the vegetables are half done
- When the vegetables are half done add the coriander powder, cummin powder, dry mango powder and salt to taste
- Stir fry for few minutes
- Then cover and cook till the vegetables are totally done ,stirring in between.
- Ready to eat .
