Cabbage Mushrooms Stir Fry - Simrun Chopra

Ingredients
  • 1/2 medium size cabbage 
  • 6 mushrooms ,each cut into 4 pieces 
  • 1 1/2 tsp pounded garlic 
  • 1 1/2 tsp pounded ginger 
  • Few chopped green chillies to taste 
  • 2 whole dry red chillies cut into pieces 
  • 1 green peppers cut in thick rings 
  • 1/2 cup spring onions cut into 2 " pieces 
  • Salt a pinch 
  • 2 tsp of light soya sauce 
  • 1 tsp of dark soya sauce 
  • 1/2 tsp oyster sauce (optional ) 
  • 1 tsp vinegar 
  • 1 tsp sugar 
  • 2 tbsp oil 

Method
  • Cut the hard part of the cabbage and cut into thin slices 
  • The leaves break into big pieces 
  • In a kadhai add 1/2 tbsp of oil 
  • Heat the oil 
  • Add the hard part of the cabbage and stir fry in full flame for few minutes 
  • Add the cabbage leaves 
  • Stir fry for a minute or so 
  • Remove from kadhai and keep aside 
  • In the same kadhai 
  • Add 1/2 tbsp oil
  • Heat the oil 
  • Add the mushroom and stir fry for few minutes 
  • Add the pounded ginger garlic and the remaining oil 
  • Stir fry for 1-2 minutes 
  • Add the green chillies 
  • Stir fry for few seconds 
  • Add the dry cut red chillies 
  • Stir fry for few seconds 
  • Now lower the flame 
  • Add the dark soya sauce 
  • Stir fry for few seconds 
  • Add the pepper rings 
  • Stir fry for few seconds 
  • Now add the stir fried cabbage 
  • Add the light soya sauce 
  • Add the oyster sauce 
  • Add vinegar 
  • Stir fry for 20-30 seconds 
  • Add sugar and salt to taste 
  • Now make the flame full 
  • Stir fry for few seconds 
  • Add the spring onions 
  • Stir fry for 20-30 seconds 
  • Done 
  • Remove and dish out 
  • Garnish with roasted sesame seeds. 
  • Note : if you do not have oyster sauce can replace with 1/2-3/4 tsp of dark soya .
  • Can serve with Fried Rice
