Paneer Bhurjee with Roti
Paneer Bhurjee is an easy quick dinner and something we always have at home. Paneer is a type of cheese so can be high in calories. We recommend weighing the paneer to avoid overshooting calories
Note : if you like to eat larger meals then you can add a cut salad on the side with cucumber tomato or you can add spinach and some mushrooms into the Bhurjee to make it feel more while keeping calories low.
Ingredients
- Paneer (low-fat): 85g, crumbled
- Whole wheat roti: 1 small (30g)
- Onion: 1 small, chopped
- Tomato: 1 small, chopped
- Capsicum: 1/2 small, chopped
- Green chilies: 1, chopped
- Spices: 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp garam masala, salt to taste
- Oil: 1 tsp
Instructions:
- Heat oil, add cumin seeds, onion, and green chilies, sauté for 3 minutes.
- Add capsicum and tomato, cook for 5 minutes with spices.
- Add crumbled paneer, mix well, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Serve with a warm roti or a slice of bread ( no ghee / oil / butter)
