Soothing Ginger-Mint Tea
This calming tea is packed with ingredients known for their anti-spasmodic properties, which may help ease gut discomfort and pain. The combination of ginger, mint, fennel, and turmeric works together to support digestion, reduce inflammation, and provide a soothing effect on the stomach.
Ingredients:
- 1 inch fresh ginger (grated)
- A few mint leaves
- ½ tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
- ½ tsp turmeric (haldi)
- A pinch of black pepper (to enhance curcumin absorption)
Instructions:
1. In a pot, add all the ingredients to 2 cups of water.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for at least 5 minutes, similar to preparing a kashaya (herbal decoction).
3. Strain the tea into a cup and enjoy warm.
