Beetroot Falafel
Ingredients: (1 Serving)
- 50g beetroot
- 1 tbsp chickpeas (boiled and ground)
- 1 tsp powdered oats
- ⅛ tsp cumin powder
- ⅛ tsp coriander powder
- 1 garlic clove
- ⅛ tsp sesame seeds (optional)
- Finely chopped onion
- Salt according to taste
- ½ tsp oil (optional)
Method:
1. Grate the beetroot and transfer it to a bowl.
2. Add chickpeas, powdered oats, cumin powder, coriander powder, minced garlic, sesame seeds (if using), finely chopped onion, and salt to the bowl.
3. Mix all the ingredients well to form a mixture.
4. Shape the mixture into patties.
5. Steam cook the patties for about 10 minutes.
6. Let them cool for some time.
7. Heat a pan and either grease with oil (optional) or dry roast the patties for 3-5 minutes.
8. Serve hot.
