Broccoli Daliya Khichdi
Ingredients (1 Serving)
- 30g daliya (broken wheat)
- 20g moong dal (split mung beans)
- 100g broccoli
- 20g chopped onion
- 25g chopped tomato
- ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
- ½ tsp whole cumin
- 1 green chili
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 stick curry leaves
- ¼ tsp mustard seeds
- ½ tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp oil
Method:
- Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pressure cooker. Add mustard seeds, whole cumin, and curry leaves.
- Add chopped onions and green chilies. Cook for a while. Add chopped tomatoes and mash to a pulp. Stir in the ginger garlic paste.
- Add broccoli, daliya, moong dal, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Stir everything well and add water.
- Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook for 4 whistles on medium flame.
- Remove from heat and allow the pressure to settle down.
- Serve hot with curd.
