A quick and satisfying snack that curbs sweet cravings without going overboard on calories.
This chocolate popcorn is the perfect blend of crunch and indulgence — ideal for a light dessert or a midday treat. With minimal ingredients and under 10 minutes of prep, it's a simple yet smart way to enjoy chocolate mindfully.
Ingredients (Serves 2)
-
½ cup raw corn kernels
-
1 tsp oil
-
1 piece cooking chocolate (approx. 3-inch block)
Method
-
Heat a pressure cooker over medium flame. Add 1 tsp oil and spread it evenly across the base and slightly up the sides.
-
Add the raw corn kernels and stir for a few seconds to coat them in oil.
-
Lower the flame and cover the cooker with a lid or place the pressure cover loosely on top.
-
Allow the kernels to pop fully. Once done, remove from heat and set the popped corn aside.
-
Warm a kadhai on low flame, then remove it from heat once it’s slightly warm.
-
Place the chocolate piece in the warm kadhai and let it melt using the residual heat.
-
Add the popped corn and mix gently until all the popcorn is coated in melted chocolate.
-
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
