Kadhai Mushroom


  • 1 packet fresh mushrooms (cut into 4)
  • 1 capsicum cut into big cubes
  • 2 onions cut into cubes

(All of the above cut and kept aside.)

For the masala to be sauted then ground

  • 1 tbsp of oil
  • 1/2 tsp whole cummin
  • 2 cardamom
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 1 medium size onion sliced
  • 1"pc ginger cut in pieces
  • 1 tomato cut into cubes
  • Few green chillies
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of turmeric powder

For assembling and then cooking
  • 2 tbsp of oil
  • 2 bay leaf
  • 1 " pc cinnamon stick .
  • 2-3 tsp of curd
  • Pinch of roasted cumin powder


1.In a kadhai put 1 tbsp of oil
2.Add whole cumin ,cloves and cardamom
3.When the cumin starts spluttering
4.Add the sliced onion and cut ginger
5.Saute for few minutes till onion becomes translucent
6.Add pinch of salt and turmeric
7.Saute for few minutes
8.Add cut tomato and green chilies
9.Saute for 5-10 minutes on low to medium flame .
10.Remove from flame and let it cool down
11.Grind to a smooth paste
12.In the same kadhai add 2 tbsp of oil
13.When the oil is a little warm
14.Add the bay leaf and cinnamon stick
15.Add the ground masala and saute for 5-10 minutes
16.Add the onions ,stir for a few minutes
17.Add the capsicum and stir for a few minutes
18.Add the mushrooms stir for few minutes
18.Add red chilli powder and salt according to taste (keeping in mind that little salt and green chilies are already there) 19.
19.Add the curd and stir for 5-7 minutes
20.Add the cut tomato and stir for 5-7 minutes
21.Sprinkle pinch of roasted cumin .
Done .
