Kheema Bun
Ingredients: (1 Serving)
For Bun:
- 15g wheat flour
- 50ml warm milk
- ¼ tsp dry yeast
- ¼ tsp sugar
- Pinch of baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
For Kheema Stuffing:
- 30g minced chicken
- 1 finely chopped garlic clove
- 1 finely chopped green chilli
- ½ tsp red chilli flakes
- ½ tsp oregano
- ½ tsp thyme
- ½ tsp garam masala powder
- ½ tsp soya sauce
- ½ tsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp oil
- Salt to taste
Method:
For Bun:
- Warm the milk and transfer it to a bowl. Add sugar and dry yeast, mixing well until the sugar dissolves.
- Add wheat flour, a pinch of salt, a pinch of baking powder, and mix all the ingredients to form a very soft dough. Allow it to rest in a warm place.
For Stuffing:
- Heat oil in a pan, add finely chopped garlic and green chilli, sauté well.
- Then add minced chicken (kheema) and sauté well.
- Add red chilli flakes, oregano, thyme, garam masala, salt, and sauté everything well. Turn off the flame.
- Add soya sauce, tomato ketchup, and turn on the flame. Sauté everything well.
- Allow the cooked kheema to cool down.
Assembling:
- Take out the prepared dough and roll it into a long shape, then place the cooked kheema in the center.
- Cut diagonal lines on both sides of the flattened dough.
- Take each diagonal cutout and enclose the kheema stuffing by overlapping the sides.
- Once it's done, sprinkle white sesame seeds and transfer it to a baking tray.
- Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
- Insert the tray and bake the kheema bun for 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
- Serve the kheema bun with tomato salsa.
