Masala Bhindi ( Lady Finger ) - Simrun Chopra
Stir Fry Masala Bhindi (ladyfinger)
Ingredients
  • 500gms ladyfinger 
  • (to be washed ,dried completely. Remove the head ,slit it from the middle then cut into half .Cut and keep aside. )
  • 2-3 tbsp of oil 
  • 1/2 tsp whole cumin 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder 
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder 
  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder 
  • 1/4 tsp chat masala 

Method
  • Wash the ladyfinger and dry it throughly ,cut the head and then slit it from the centre and then cut into half. Keep aside
  • Take a kadhai add the oil and warm the oil a little 
  • Then add the whole cumin 
  • When the cumin starts spluttering 
  • Add the cut ladyfinger and mix it in well. 
  • Stir fry for few minutes 
  • Then add the turmeric powder and stir fry for few more minutes 
  • Cover and cook on low flame ,stirring in between 
  • Cover and cook till half done 
  • Remove the lid 
  • Then add salt and stir fry for few minutes 
  • Next add the red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, dry mango powder and chat masala 
  • Stir fry and mix the dry masala well 
  • Now cook on low flame till done ,keep stirring the ladyfinger ,so that it does not get caught .
  • Done .
