Moong Dal with Squash

Ingredients
1 cup moong dal (raw)
1 -3 squash cut in cubes
Few slitted green chillies
8-10 whole garlic pods
2 medium onions chopped
2 medium tomatoes chopped
2 bay leaf
1/4 tsp cummin seeds
1 green cardamom
1 cinnamon stick of 1/2"
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
3 tbsp oil

Method
Wash the dal and put it in a pressure cooker, with the cut squash, salt ,turmeric powder ,whole pods of garlic , green chillies and water (1:3 ratio of water to dal )
Pressure cook to one whistle ,then remove from the flame
Let the pressure cooker open naturally
In a pan add the oil ,warm the oil a little
Add the bay leaves ,cumin seeds ,cardamom and cinnamon stick and after few seconds
Add the chopped onions and stir fry till the onions become translucent
Now add the chopped tomatoes and saute
Add the red chilli powder
Saute till the tomatoes become soft
Add the tomato onion masala to the dal
Mix it in well
Add the chopped coriander leaves
Done .
