Stir Fry Long Beans
Ingredients
- 300 gms of long beans cut into 2" pieces
- 1 tomato sliced
- 2 tsp chopped garlic
- Few whole red chillies cut into pieces
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 -1 tsp chilli flakes
- 11/2 tbsp of oil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp light soya
Method
- Steam the long beans to 60-70 % done
- Immediately put in cold water for few minutes
- Drain and keep aside
- Take a pan add the oil
- Let the oil warm a little
- Add the chopped garlic
- Stir fry for few minutes so that the raw smell goes
- Add the cut whole red chillies
- Stir fry for a minute or so
- Add the steamed long beans
- Stir fry for a minute or so
- Add the salt
- Add the red chilli flakes
- Stir fry for few minutes
- Add the sugar
- Stir fry for few seconds
- Add the sliced tomato
- Stir fry for few seconds
- When the long beans are 90% done
- Add the soya sauce
- Stir fry for few minutes
- Done .
- Serve with plain rice /fried rice .
- Note : the beans should be crunchy .
