Tuvar Beans ki Subzi

- 1 kg cluster beans (with the pods)
- 1 1/2 tbsp oil
- 1/4 tsp whole cumin
- 1/4 tsp whole black mustard
- 1/2 -1 tsp urad dal
- 2-3 green chillies chopped
- 1 onion chopped (medium to big)
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 2 1/2 tbsp grated coconut
- 2 1/2 tbsp peanuts ,roasted and crushed
- 1 cup chopped spinach
Method
- Remove beans from inside the pods and keep aside
- Then put the beans in a pressure cooker with little salt and water just enough to cover it and cook to one whistle. Then remove from stove and keep aside .Let the pressure cooker open naturally.
- Now done keep aside
- Take a kadhai add the oil.
- Warm the oil a little then add the whole cumin, whole black mustard seeds and the urad dal .
- Stir fry for 1 minute .
- Next add 2-3 green chillies chopped
- Stir fry for few seconds
- Then add the chopped onion
- Stir fry for few minutes
- Stir fry till onions become a little translucent
- Then add salt to taste ,keeping in mind that salt was put during the cooking of the beans .
- Stir fry for few seconds
- Then add the turmeric powder, cumin powder and coriander powder
- Stir fry for few minutes
- Now add the cooked beans to the kadhai ,if there is any residue water in the cooker ,can add that too .
- Stir fry for few minutes
- To this now add the grated coconut
- Then add the crushed roasted peanuts
- Mix it in well
- Add the chopped spinach
- Stir fry for few minutes
- and cook till the spinach is done .
- Ready .
