Our Cranberry Infused Water Recipe 

Ingredients

  • 2tbsp dried cranberries / 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 5-6 slices of lemon slices
  • 7-8 basil leaves, torn and pounded 
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1L water
  • Pinch of salt 

Method

  1. Take a jug or a bottle, add dried or fresh cranberries, a few basil leaves and lemon slices.
  2. Add water, stir and keep it aside for 30- 60 minutes.
  3. And ready to drink.
  4. Refill and consume it through the day.

  1. Cranberries are an excellent source of antioxidant and vitamins C and E and K.
  2. Dried cranberries are made from real cranberries and has almost the same benefits as fresh cranberries.
  3. Cranberries are primarily grown in the States of Wisconsin and Massachusetts in the United States. They are also grown in the States of New Jersey, Oregon and Washington.
  4. The name cranberry came as the cranberry flower looks like the neck of a crane.
  5. Cranberries are cholesterol and saturated fat free and also very low in sodium. Cranberries are
    also one of the richest sources of antioxidants.
  6. Cranberries promote Cardiovascular Health and have anti-inflammatory benefits.
  7. Cranberries do not lose their nutrition properties when cooked.
  8. There are many cranberry juices available in the market. They are all tasty. However, if you want
  9. the health benefits of cranberries, then look for juices that has at least 20% of cranberry
  10. concentrate in it. You can find out easily by looking at the back of pack. (It is any ways a good
  11. habit whenever you are buying any packaged food).
  12. Dried cranberries are mildly sweetened because, unlike other berries, cranberries are low in
  13. sugar and high in acidity so they require sweetening to be palatable.
  14. The amount of sugar in dried cranberries makes it similar to that of other dried fruits, like
  15. raisins, dried cherries etc.
